The Administration laid out the following priorities: accelerating the deployment of critical electric transmission accelerating energy project permitting on federal lands modernizing the country’s 150-year-old mining laws deploying hydrogen and carbon dioxide infrastructure incentivizing redevelopment for clean energy deployment improving permitting efficiency and predictability enhancing data collection needed for effective permitting cutting duplicative and burdensome analysis and reviews improving community engagement addressing gaps in the permitting workforce establishing clearer requirements for mitigating environmental harms and incentivizing state and local permitting reform and standardization.
